Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for stable, ongoing work with excellent rates of pay and a predictable schedule? We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Class 1 Driver to join a well-established operation based in Preston (PR2).

Pay Rates
Monday - Thursday
- £19.15 per hour
- £27.25 per hour overtime after 8 hours
Friday
- £19.15 per hour until midnight
- £24.52 per hour after midnight
- £27.25 per hour overtime after 8 hours
Saturday
- £24.52 per hour until midnight
- £27.25 per hour after midnight
- £27.25 per hour overtime after 8 hours
Sunday
- £27.25 per hour until midnight
- £19.15 per hour after midnight
- £27.25 per hour overtime after 8 hours
Please note: A 45-minute break is deducted daily
Shift Information
- Ongoing, pre-booked assignments
- Monday to Sunday operation
- Start times between 14:00 and 18:00
- Average shift length of 12 hours
- Pre-planned rotas for greater work-life balance
- Consistent and reliable workload
The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Straight trunk runs to Midlands hubs and back
- No multi-drop deliveries
- No handballing or manual handling
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Accurate completion of all driving and vehicle documentation
- Delivering professional service at all times
This is clean, straightforward driving work ideal for drivers who prefer trunking operations.

Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- Full UK Class C+E (Class 1) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
- Tachograph data demonstrating work history over the previous 6 months
- A professional and safety-focused attitude
