The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer with a strong background in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments to support a busy manufacturing operation in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the unique health, safety, compliance and operational challenges of a manufacturing setting and enjoys driving continuous improvement across the site.

About You
Essential
- Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing, engineering, production, industrial or FMCG environment.
- Sound knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience maintaining Health & Safety management systems.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing safe systems of work in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage production and operational teams.
- Excellent organisational and administrative abilities.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Desirable
- NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience conducting internal audits.
- Exposure to environmental or sustainability initiatives.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
