Factory Operative

Blue Arrow is currently recruiting Temporary Factory Operatives to work at a busy manufacturing site in the Cam area.
You will support the day-to-day production and packing operation, working across manufacturing and packing areas to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality and hygiene standards.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting production and packing operations
- Handling, lifting and stacking raw materials, packaging and finished products
- Operating production and packing machinery once fully trained
- Carrying out basic quality checks and reporting any issues
- Completing production paperwork and basic data entry
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
- Cleaning production equipment and keeping work areas tidy
- Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
- Monitoring packaging, labels and product quality
- Supporting material traceability and stock control
- Segregating waste correctly and maintaining good housekeeping
What we're looking for
You don't necessarily need extensive factory experience, but you will need to be:
- Reliable and comfortable working within a busy production environment
- Safety-conscious and able to follow procedures
- Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet during your shift
- Able to maintain high standards of hygiene and attention to detail
- Happy to complete site and task-specific training
- Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction from supervisors
Previous experience within food manufacturing, production, packing, warehousing or a factory environment would be advantageous.
Full site induction and task-specific training will be provided, and you will only be expected to operate equipment or undertake duties once appropriately trained.
