Pay: £17.00 - £21.00 per hour - paid weekly
Contract: Flexible day, evening and weekend shifts with full-time and part-time options available

We're expanding our relief chef team especially with the DBS environments for schools, retirement villages, care homes etc. We are looking for skilled chefs of all levels to support clients across Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and the surrounding areas. Whether you have a DBS or not we are looking to speak with all chefs across all levels.

We are the chef agency that covers the East Midlands, so we can support you with work within any of the following locations:

- Nottingham & Nottinghamshire including Lincoln.
Every week can look different. We'll take the time to understand your experience, preferences and availability so we can match you with suitable kitchen environments.
A number of our clients require an Enhanced DBS check to work in their environments, so we're encouraging chefs to register early so compliance can be completed before ready for your first shift.
Don't currently hold an Enhanced DBS?
That's not a problem. Blue Arrow can support you with arranging one, helping you access more assignments. While your DBS is being processed, we may be able to offer work in hotels, pubs, restaurants, events and other hospitality settings so you can begin earning sooner.
Registering early puts you in a strong position to secure ongoing opportunities when September demand increases.
DBS Support for Eligible Roles
Many assignments within schools, nurseries, care homes, healthcare environments and prisons require an Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 12 months.
If you do not currently have one, Blue Arrow can guide you through the application process and help open up further work options, at a cost to yourself.

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience as a chef
- Flexibility in shift patterns including weekends
- Great communication and team work skills
- Level 2 food hygiene certificate dated within the last 3 years. (ideal but not essential as training is provided)
- Level 2 Health and Safety Certificate (ideal but not essential as training is provided)
- Passion for food
- Available to cover ad hoc last minute sickness requests for our clients this can be on the same day.
- Experience with the IDDSI framework to prepare and cook texture diets
- Ability to work under pressure
- Due to certain locations a full UK driving license is required along with own access to a vehicle
- A DBS (essential - as mentioned above)
