Are you an experienced Chef looking for flexible work in a rewarding environment? We are currently recruiting Care Home Chefs to support care homes in and around Uckfield on behalf of a leading recruitment agency.
The Role
As a Care Home Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals that meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences. You will ensure the kitchen operates efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and safety.
Responsibilities
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals for residents.
- Catering for special dietary requirements and allergies.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Managing food stock and reducing waste.
- Working independently or as part of the kitchen team.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Manager.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- Knowledge of dietary requirements within a care setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy kitchen.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS certificate required (or willingness to obtain one).
