Warehouse Picker Wanted - Immediate Start Available
We are recruiting Warehouse Pickers / Warehouse Operatives for our client based in Severn Beach, Bristol.
Our client is a well-established international logistics and shipping company specialising in the storage and distribution of mattresses and bedding products. This is a physically demanding warehouse role involving regular manual handling and lifting.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Picker, your duties will include:
- Receiving goods into the warehouse and unloading deliveries
- Checking stock quantities and inspecting products for damage
- Recording and reporting any discrepancies
- Sorting, palletising and storing goods safely and accurately
- Picking customer orders using handheld scanners
- Loading stock for despatch
- Moving goods throughout the warehouse using approved handling methods
- Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks
- Operating warehouse scanners and WMS/PDCU systems in accordance with company procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Working effectively as part of the warehouse team
- Following all health & safety policies and warehouse procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Be able to lift and move mattresses weighing:
- 30kg to 35kg (single mattresses)
- 50kg to 60kg (king-size mattresses)
- Have good written and spoken English
- Be reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Own Transport Due to Location
Desirable Experience
Previous experience in any of the following roles would be advantageous:
- Warehouse Operative
- Warehouse Picker
- Order Picker
- Picker Packer
- Goods In Operative
- Logistics Operative
- Distribution Operative
- Loading / Unloading Operative
However, full training will be provided, and candidates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
