Blue Arrow is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client for Manufacturing Support Operatives with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established site offering regular overtime, shift allowances and long-term career prospects. Shift Pattern
You will work a rotating shift pattern:
- 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00
- 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00
- 2 weeks: Monday-Thursday, 22:00-06:00
The night shift operates over four nights, with employees paid for five, providing an additional shift allowance benefit. Overtime is available and paid at enhanced rates.
The Role
This is a predominantly FLT-based position with some manufacturing support duties. Responsibilities include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Transporting raw materials, pallets, drums and IBC containers around site
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Supporting production areas with materials replenishment
- Carrying out daily FLT safety checks
- Managing waste and housekeeping activities
- Operating industrial washing equipment for manufacturing utensils
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety and GMP compliance
- Maintaining clean and organised working areas at all times
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
- Full UK driving licence
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Flexible approach to work and shifts
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or GMP
