Van Driver (DBS Required) - School Meals Delivery & Collection
Hereford £14.00 - £15.00 per hour Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join a busy school trust based in Hereford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, providing excellent customer service, and working within the education sector.
This role involves the delivery and collection of meals to schools across the trust, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
The Role
- Delivering prepared meals to schools across the Hereford area
- Collecting meal containers and equipment from schools
- Loading and unloading the vehicle safely
- Completing delivery paperwork and vehicle checks
- Maintaining high standards of customer service when interacting with school staff
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed in line with food safety and hygiene requirements
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- School term-time working pattern
- Start and finish times to be confirmed
Pay Rate
- £14.00 - £15.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous van driving experience preferred
- Enhanced DBS Check required (or willing to obtain one)
- Good geographical knowledge of Hereford and surrounding areas
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to load and unload the vehicle as required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
