Transport Administrator / Fleet Compliance Administrator
Location: West Thurrock
Hours: 4-on / 4-off shift pattern
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Job Overview
We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to support fleet and transport operations. This role is ideal for someone with previous transport, logistics, or fleet administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage the Tachomaster calendar, including recording driver rest days, annual leave, training schedules, and other driver-related activities.
- Check, review, and file daily vehicle walkaround inspection reports to ensure compliance requirements are met.
- Manage vehicle defects by:
- Receiving and responding to defect-related calls.
- Arranging and monitoring repair call-outs.
- Uploading and maintaining accurate documentation within company systems.
- Liaise with external workshops and maintenance providers to obtain updates on vehicle repairs and servicing.
- Complete reconciliations within the fuel delivery management system, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain administrative records and support transport compliance activities.
- Ensure all documentation is processed accurately and in a timely manner.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a transport, logistics, fleet, or compliance administration role is desirable.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with drivers, workshops, and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently when required.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have a proactive approach, excellent attention to detail, and a good understanding of transport operations. Experience working within a transport or logistics environment would be highly advantageous.
