We're looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join a busy and well-established catering team at an education site in Winchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys producing quality food in a professional environment while benefiting from a genuine work-life balance.

What's on Offer?

✅ £15.44 per hour

✅ 40 hours per week

✅ 5 days out of 7 rota

✅ Term-time contract

✅ Paid for 38.6 weeks per year while only working approximately 34 weeks

✅ Every 3rd weekend off

✅ On other weekends, typically only one weekend day worked

✅ School holiday periods off

✅ Structured shifts and a supportive team environment

Shift Patterns

• 6:45am - 2:45pm
• 11:30am - 7:45pm

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals
• Supporting daily food service operations
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Assisting with stock control and food ordering
• Working closely with the wider catering team to deliver an excellent dining experience

We're Looking For

• Previous chef experience in a professional kitchen
• A passion for quality food and service
• Good knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Strong organisational skills
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods
