Are you a Chef looking for a new opportunity within the contract catering industry that offers an excellent work-life balance?
We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join a busy catering site in Winchester.
Key Information
- Salary: £14.74 per hour (Term Time Only)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 with alternative weekends
- Working Pattern: 34 working weeks plus 5 weeks paid holiday
- Location: Winchester
- Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a friendly and professional catering service within the school environment.
- Prepare, cook, and present food to agreed quality standards.
- Assist with food preparation and service.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.
- Work effectively alongside the wider kitchen team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce and ingredients.
- Experience working in a variety of kitchen environments and cuisines.
- Understanding of food production methods and kitchen operations.
- Willingness to embrace new ideas and ways of working.
- Positive, approachable, and team-focused attitude.
To Be Successful, You'll Need
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a similar environment.
- The ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure.
- High standards of food hygiene and health & safety awareness.
- A passion for delivering quality food and excellent service.
