Join Blue Arrow as a Temporary Chef
Blue Arrow is currently recruiting Chefs of all levels, from Chef de Partie and Sous Chef through to Head Chef, to work within school catering environments across Bedford.
Whether you're looking for occasional shifts or ongoing temporary work, we have opportunities available for experienced chefs who are passionate about delivering high-quality meals in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals to a high standard.
- Supporting daily kitchen operations and food service.
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Managing stock and reducing food waste where required.
- Ensuring kitchen areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant.
- Working effectively as part of a catering team to meet service demands.
Requirements
✅ Previous chef experience is essential.
✅ Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Head Chef, and equivalent levels welcome.
✅ A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate is required.
✅ Strong knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, and health & safety regulations.
✅ Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
✅ Reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work.
