Team Catering Leader

Location: Wimborne, Dorset

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7

Contract: 40 working weeks per year plus 5 weeks annual leave

Shifts: Variable shifts between 7:00am-3:00pm and 12:00pm-8:00pm

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Team Catering Leader to join our catering operation in Wimborne.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys leading by example, delivering excellent food and service, and supporting a busy team in a fast-paced environment.

As Team Catering Leader, you will play a key role in the daily running of the catering service, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, hygiene, and operational efficiency are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the catering service.
• Lead, motivate, and supervise catering team members during shifts.
• Assist with food preparation, service, and presentation.
• Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained.
• Monitor stock levels and support stock ordering and control.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any service issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
• Support the Catering Manager with operational and administrative tasks.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment.
• Supervisory or team leader experience.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
• A sound understanding of food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• The ability to motivate a team and maintain high standards.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts across a 5-out-of-7-day rota.
