Supported Accommodation Home Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Supported Accommodation Home Manager to lead our supported accommodation service for young people aged 16+.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring young people receive high-quality support in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. You will oversee staff, maintain compliance with OFSTED requirements, manage referrals and placements, and promote positive outcomes that help young people develop independence and life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Lead and manage the supported accommodation service.
- Supervise, support and develop staff through regular supervision and training.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive culture for both young people and staff.
- Develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure effective 24/7 service delivery.
- Participate in the manager's on-call rota.
Supporting Young People
- Oversee the delivery of individual support plans.
- Promote independence, life skills and personal development.
- Complete direct work with young people when required.
- Ensure young people are safeguarded and supported to achieve positive outcomes.
- Work closely with families, social workers and other professionals.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and relevant legislation.
- Maintain high-quality service standards and continuously drive improvement.
- Monitor safeguarding, child exploitation and risk management processes.
- Ensure accurate records, reports and administrative systems are maintained.

Operational Responsibilities
- Manage referrals and admissions.
- Oversee budgets and financial procedures.
- Ensure the property is maintained to a high standard.
- Attend management meetings and contribute to service development.
- Produce reports and management information as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Experience managing or supervising within a supported accommodation setting.
- Experience working with young people aged 16+.
- Experience working within an OFSTED-regulated service.
- Staff management and supervision experience.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
- Experience working with multiple agencies and professionals.
Essential Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People's Services (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong report writing and IT skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a varied workload.
