We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join a thriving leisure site in Fareham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking for a great work-life balance, with predominantly Monday to Friday working, evenings off, and alternate weekends free.

Working alongside the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality fresh food while supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen and leading the team in their absence.

The Role

As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Head Chef with the daily management of the kitchen.
• Preparing and serving high-quality meals to a consistent standard.
• Leading and motivating the kitchen team during service.
• Maintaining food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.
• Assisting with menu planning, stock control, and ordering.
• Supporting staff training and development.
• Ensuring excellent presentation and customer satisfaction at all times.

What We're Looking For

✔ Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready for the next step.

✔ Passion for fresh food and quality ingredients.

✔ Strong organisational and time management skills.

✔ Ability to lead a team in a busy kitchen environment.

✔ Good knowledge of food safety and compliance procedures.

✔ A positive, proactive, and reliable attitude.
