The Role
You will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations across construction projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination of subcontractors, site teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage daily site operations at Solar construction projects
· Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
· Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and specifications
· Implement and enforce Health & Safety procedures (inductions, toolbox talks, audits)
· Oversee compliance with RAMS, CDM regulations, and client requirements
· Monitor quality, progress, and site performance
· Maintain accurate site records (labour, plant, materials, timesheets)
· Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and environmental checks
· Provide regular progress updates to management and clients
· Lead site teams through briefings, reviews, and ongoing support
Requirements (Essential)
· Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction or renewable energy
· SMSTS certification
· Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation (CDM)
· Experience managing subcontractors and multiple workstreams
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
· Ability to manage pressure and resolve issues effectively
· Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
· Experience within solar PV or renewable energy projects
· First Aid at Work
· CSCS
· Temporary Works / Appointed Person (lifting) experience
