€45,000 - €60,000 per annum

Relocate to Malta and Play a Key Role in a Landmark Luxury Hospitality Project

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Controller to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Malta as it embarks on a significant multi-million-euro refurbishment programme over the next two years.

This is far more than a traditional Cost Controller position. We are looking for a commercially astute professional who can provide strategic financial oversight, support senior decision-making, and help drive the successful delivery of a major hospitality transformation project.

Salary & Benefits

• €45,000 - €60,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Fixed-term contract (2 years)
• Relocation opportunity to Malta
• One return flight per year to your home country covered by the employer

The Role

Working closely with senior management, Quantity Surveying teams, and Quality Assurance professionals, you will be responsible for reviewing project costs, analysing commercial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing insightful recommendations that support critical business decisions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring financial transparency, cost efficiency, and commercial control throughout the refurbishment programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse project costs, budgets, and financial performance
• Review and interpret reports from Quantity Surveying and Quality Assurance teams
• Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas requiring action
• Produce accurate financial analysis and management reports
• Deliver clear recommendations to senior stakeholders and project leaders
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and project financial planning
• Ensure effective cost control procedures and commercial governance are maintained
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to support project success and business objectives

We are looking for an experienced professional who can operate confidently at a strategic level and turn complex financial and project information into meaningful business insights.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in cost control and commercial management
• Background in large-scale construction, refurbishment, hospitality, or property development projects
• Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
• Ability to interpret project data and present actionable recommendations
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with senior leadership teams and influencing decision-making
