School Kitchen Assistant Required

We are currently recruiting for a School Kitchen Assistant to join a busy and friendly catering team within a school in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and wants to make a positive difference by helping provide nutritious meals to pupils.
Key Duties
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of school meals.
- Supporting the catering team with basic food preparation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Restocking supplies and assisting with deliveries.
- Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff.
What We're Looking For
✅ Previous catering, kitchen, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
✅ Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
✅ Ability to work well as part of a team.
✅ Reliable, punctual, and organised.
✅ Understanding of food hygiene practices.
✅ Enhanced DBS certificate preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
