We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly school catering team in Bedford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping provide nutritious meals to pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
- Supporting the kitchen team with food preparation tasks.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Washing up kitchen utensils, equipment, and serving items.
- Assisting with stock storage and replenishment.
- Following food safety and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Providing a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen, catering, or hospitality experience is desirable but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Enhanced DBS clearance is required (or willingness to obtain one).
