Relief DBS Chef & Cook - Care homes & schools
Location: Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock & Surrounding Derbyshire Areas
Pay: £17.00 - £21.00 per hour - weekly pay

Blue Arrow Derby are looking for experienced Relief DBS Chefs, Cooks and Chef de Parties to join our growing team supporting a variety of clients across Buxton and the surrounding Derbyshire area.
We supply chefs to:
- Schools & Academies
- Nurseries
- Care Homes & Nursing Homes
- Retirement Villages
- Healthcare Facilities
With schools preparing to return in September, we're expecting one of our busiest back-to-school periods yet and are looking to register chefs now ready for the new term, so your fully ready for work when it arrives. We will offer you work in the mean time too.
Shift Patterns
Schools & Nurseries
- Monday to Friday
- 7am - 8am starts
- 2pm - 4pm finishes
- No evenings or weekends
Care Homes & Healthcare
- Monday to Sunday
- 6am - 7am starts
- Finishes between 3pm - 6pm
- Weekend shifts available
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year's experience as a Cook, Chef de Partie or similar role
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
- Food allergens certificates and knowledge of dietary requirements
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach
Desirable
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months - we have the facilities to process one at a cost
- IDDSI Framework Training - within a care home setting
- Children's Safeguarding Training
- Experience within education or healthcare catering
DBS Requirements
Many of our roles require an Enhanced DBS Adult, Child or both Check.
If you already hold a DBS dated within the last 12 months, we may be able to offer work immediately. If not, Blue Arrow can arrange one for you at a cost.
