📍 Location: Chichester Area, 4 miles out of town so idealy own transport or happy to take a short train journey
💰 Salary: £26,250 plus £250 per month tips

About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the front desk.
The role is close to Chichester and is around 4 miles out of town so ideally a form of transport is desirable or willingness to take a short train journey.
You will work 39 hours per week, 5/7 days with weekends on a rota basis and done fairly across the team. You will work a mix of early and late shifts which are 7.30am to 4.00pm and 2.30pm-10.30pm approximately
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and providing exceptional customer service.
- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Handling reservations, cancellations, and amendments.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records.
- Providing information about hotel facilities and local attractions.
- Resolving guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinating with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintaining a clean and organised reception area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel reception, hospitality, or customer service role is desirable but not essential.
- Experience using Guestline desirable but not essential as full training can be given
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Confident using computer systems and booking software.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
