Blue Arrow is currently recruiting Production & Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturing business in Derby.

The Role

As a Production & Assembly Operative, you'll be involved in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality products while working to strict quality and safety standards.

Your duties will include:

• Operating specialist manufacturing machinery
• Assembling and fabricating components
• Working with welding equipment and production stations
• Using hand and power tools
• Completing quality inspections and pressure testing
• Following engineering drawings and work instructions
• Identifying faults and reporting defects
• Operating lifting equipment and hoists
• Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

About You

We're looking for reliable, motivated individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You should have:

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, engineering or assembly
• Experience using hand tools, power tools or machinery
• Good attention to detail
• A strong focus on quality and safety
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern

Desirable experience includes:

• Fabrication
• Welding
• Quality inspection
• Pressure testing
• Reading technical drawings
• Mechanical assembly
• Operating lifting equipment

Full training will be provided, so applicants with transferable manufacturing skills are encouraged to apply.

Shift & Travel Requirements

This role operates on a rotating three-shift pattern covering days, afternoons and nights.

Before applying, please ensure you can:

• Start work at 06:00 when required
• Finish work at 23:00 and travel home safely
• Work rotating days, afternoons and night shifts
• Travel reliably to Indurent Park, Derby

Reliable transport is essential due to the shift patterns.

Days

Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30

Friday: 06:00 - 12:00

Starting at £14.05 per hour

Rising to £17.75 per hour

Afternoons

Monday - Thursday: 14:30 - 23:00

Friday: 12:00 - 18:00

Starting at £16.02 per hour

Rising to £19.72 per hour

Nights

Sunday: 20:30 - 06:00

Monday - Thursday: 23:00 - 06:00

Starting at £17.05 per hour

Rising to £20.75 per hour
