Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Production Line Leader to oversee and coordinate activities on a designated production line. The role involves leading a small team, ensuring production targets are met, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
The Line Leader will guide their team through training, coaching, and daily support, promoting positive behaviours and a hands‑on approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and confidently.
- Monitor production operatives to maintain strong productivity and efficiency levels.
- Work flexibly according to daily production plans and customer requirements.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with product specifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues across multiple departments.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
- Follow all health & safety and food hygiene regulations, maintaining due diligence at all times.
- Uphold company standards throughout the production process.
- Attend and contribute to production meetings and team huddles.
- Communicate new procedures or requirements clearly to production staff.
- Provide constructive suggestions for operational improvements.
- Support daily receipt and dispatch activities when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience leading a team or strong evidence of leadership capability.
- Background in food processing or food manufacturing.
- Food Safety and Health & Safety Level 2 qualification.
- Willingness to undertake additional training (online, classroom, and on‑the‑job).
- Positive attitude with strong motivation to achieve results.
- "Can‑do" approach and respectful communication style.
- Professional, approachable, and supportive with all colleagues.
- Ability to follow company people policies and procedures.
