Part-Time School Catering Assistant
Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with a well-respected school in Ilkeston, which is currently seeking a Part-Time Catering Assistant to support its busy kitchen team.
Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) is required. If you do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate, we can assist the successful candidate with obtaining one (cost applicable).

Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, your duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and service of meals
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and dining areas
- Serving food to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
- Handling meal payments and supporting the administration of free school meal entitlements
- Cleaning and resetting dining tables between sittings
- Following all health and safety and food hygiene procedures

Essential Requirements
- Enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to commit to ongoing part-time hours
- Previous catering, hospitality, or kitchen experience would be advantageous, although not essential
