Hours: 9am till 2.30pm
Days: Monday to Friday

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Catering Assistant to join a friendly and professional catering team at a prestigious corporate site in Derby.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering or hospitality experience who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service in a busy and rewarding environment. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the catering operation, ensuring customers receive a high-quality dining experience while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
As a Catering Assistant, your duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation and service of food and beverages
- Serving customers in a busy staff restaurant/canteen environment
- Operating tills and handling customer transactions
- Supporting the kitchen team with general food preparation
- Washing pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Clearing and cleaning tables and dining areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and service areas
- Following all Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene procedures
- Assisting with stock replenishment and general catering duties as required

- Experienced in catering, hospitality, food service, or a similar environment
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communicators with a positive, can-do attitude
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the catering operation
Requirements
- Previous catering or hospitality experience
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
- Food Hygiene Level 1 Certificate (or willingness to obtain one - we can arrange this free of charge)
- Own transport or a reliable means of travelling to and from site
