We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join an innovative engineering organisation developing highly complex, precision-engineered technology. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and has a strong background working with magnetic systems and assemblies.

To be considered, applicants must have a minimum of 4 years' experience working with magnets, magnetic systems, superconducting magnets, electromagnets, permanent magnets, or magnet-based technologies within a manufacturing, engineering, scientific, or high-tech environment.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will take ownership of manufacturing processes, documentation, equipment implementation, and continuous improvement activities across a specialised product portfolio. Working closely with Engineering and Operations teams, you'll play a key role in improving quality, reducing costs, supporting new product introduction, and solving complex manufacturing challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop manufacturing processes for complex engineered products.
• Support production activities to achieve operational targets and KPIs.
• Create, maintain, and improve manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
• Lead root cause investigations and drive corrective actions to completion.
• Implement continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness activities.
• Manage manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and process flows.
• Support engineering change implementation.
• Deliver manufacturing equipment and CAPEX projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and operations teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Experience

• Minimum 4 years' experience working with magnets or magnetic technologies in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing and improving manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis tools such as 8D.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Experience with manufacturing documentation and quality systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting NPI and engineering change activities.
• Familiarity with PFMEA, DFMEA, and risk analysis techniques.
