We're currently recruiting for a Maintenance Support professional to join a well-established care home in Reading. This flexible role allows you to choose any two days per week, working 8:00am to 4:00pm, making it ideal for someone seeking a better work-life balance while utilising their maintenance skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the home
- Complete routine building, equipment, and safety checks
- Support the upkeep of grounds and external areas
- Assist with health & safety and compliance requirements
- Maintain records of inspections, checks, and repairs
- Liaise with contractors where required
- Undertake occasional courier or collection duties
- Ensure the home remains safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and staff
Requirements:
- Valid Enhanced Adult DBS is essential
- Previous maintenance, handyman, caretaker, or facilities experience preferred
- Good practical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Reliable and professional approach
- Full UK driving licence desirable
