🌟 Are you a passionate Chef Manager looking for a rewarding role with school-friendly hours?
We are recruiting for a Chef Manager to lead the catering operation at a friendly nursery school in Bristol, providing a healthy and nutritious lunch and afternoon tea service for approximately 45-50 children each day.
This is a unique opportunity to take full ownership of a kitchen operation while enjoying a fantastic term-time-only contract and an outstanding work-life balance.
📍 Role Details
Position: Chef Manager
Location: Bristol
Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
Contract: 38 Weeks Per Year (Term Time Only)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm
Covers: 45-50 Students Daily
Service: Lunch & Afternoon Tea
Team Structure: Sole Chef Manager on Site
🍽️ Key Responsibilities
✅ Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals suitable for nursery-aged children
✅ Delivering a daily lunch and afternoon tea service
✅ Managing all aspects of the kitchen operation independently
✅ Ordering stock and managing food costs
✅ Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
✅ Ensuring allergen and dietary requirements are effectively managed
✅ Building positive relationships with nursery staff and stakeholders
Please note: Meals are served to the children by the nursery staff.
⭐ We're Looking For
- Previous Chef Manager, Chef Supervisor or Head Chef experience
- Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen autonomously
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and nutritional requirements
- A passion for providing fresh, high-quality food
- A positive and reliable approach to work
