About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team in Towcester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
The successful candidate will support the kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning duties, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with basic food preparation and meal service
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
- Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Receiving and storing deliveries correctly
- Supporting chefs and catering staff as required
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of food hygiene practices
- Enhanced DBS check is required for this role (or willingness to obtain one)
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
