Blue Arrow is recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Chef de Partie to join a professional kitchen team in the Reading area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Commis Chef looking to take the next step in their career, or for an existing Junior Chef de Partie looking to develop their skills in a high-quality food environment.
You will work alongside experienced chefs, using fresh seasonal ingredients while gaining valuable experience and training to help progress your culinary career.
The Role
As a Junior Chef de Partie, you will support the senior kitchen team in preparing and delivering high-quality dishes while learning new techniques and developing your skills across different sections of the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes to a high standard.
- Support the Chef de Partie and Senior Chefs during service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency.
- Ensure your section is clean, organised, and well stocked.
- Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver excellent service.
- Be eager to learn and develop new culinary skills.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Junior Chef de Partie.
- A genuine passion for food and hospitality.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- A team player who takes pride in their work.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods.
