A beautiful hotel set in the heart of the South Downs countryside is looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join its talented kitchen brigade. Working with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, you'll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering high-quality dishes while helping to drive standards across the kitchen.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career and gain valuable leadership experience within a professional fresh-food environment.
Due to the remote location, having your own transport is highly desirable.
✨ What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
- Strong fresh food background
- Ability to support the management of kitchen operations during service
- Confidence leading and motivating junior team members
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene procedures
- Passion for producing high-quality food and maintaining excellent standards
- Positive attitude and strong team-working skills
🍽️ Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Assist in training and developing junior chefs
- Maintain high levels of food quality, presentation, and consistency
- Help manage stock, ordering, and food wastage controls
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Lead sections confidently during busy service periods

- £16.04 per hour
- 40 hours per week
- 5 days out of 7, rota-based
