As an HR Advisor, you'll support the Senior HR Manager, gaining exposure to employee relations, recruitment, talent management, succession planning, performance management, workforce engagement and organisational change projects.

Responsibilities & Duties

* Assist the Senior HR Manager in EDI.

* Support the business through structural, cultural, and technological change.

* Address HR queries, ensuring policy compliance; update management on legislative changes.

* Manage the recruitment process end-to-end.

* Conduct pre-screening telephone interviews and co-ordinate all face-to-face interviews and assessment sessions ensuring that interview questions and assessments are both relevant and fit-for-purpose.

* Validate, track, and manage recruitment requests and costs while training hiring managers on effective interview techniques.

* Monitor metrics like attrition and time to hire; advise on recruitment trends.

* Oversee onboarding processes, including induction and paperwork.

* Support investigations, disciplinary actions, absence management, probationary reviews, performance reviews (e.g. annual appraisals and structured feedback), learning and engagement initiatives.

* Maintain accurate occupational health records.

* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, preparing draft contracts of employment, HR policies and standard documentation.

* Support engagement initiatives, collaborating on internal communication strategies and promoting a culture of high engagement.

* Support initiatives around compliance with legal frameworks, including audits related to ethical trading, employment law and updates to the employee handbook.

* Input accurate employee data into the payroll tracker and assist in payroll queries.

* Manage employee relation cases, facilitating effective resolution strategies and ensuring support for team members.

* Support all online HR platforms.

* Support initiatives that foster a positive employee relations climate and support a culture of openness and transparency.

* Any other ad-hoc HR tasks as required.

Essential Skills & Experience

· CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience will be considered.

· Minimum 4 years' HR experience.

· Strong employee relations experience.

· Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.

· Experience managing recruitment processes from vacancy through to onboarding.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong organisational and administrative abilities.

· Experience using HR systems, HR databases and Microsoft Office.
