We are recruiting HGV C+E driver to work Nights - 18ph
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in accordance with all road traffic laws and company procedures.
- Complete national and regional deliveries and collections.
- Conduct daily vehicle walkaround checks and report any defects.
- Ensure loads are correctly secured and transported safely.
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
- Adhere to tachograph regulations, driver hours, and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Maintain regular communication with the transport team regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and clients.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
- Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of road safety and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Desirable
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- Experience with curtain-sided trailers, refrigerated transport, or general haulage.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights, weekends, or tramping shifts.
