We are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for ongoing day and night work with XPO Logistics based in Sherburn in Elmet (LS25 6EZ). This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified C+E Drivers seeking long-term weekday work with pre-planned routes, no handball, modern vehicles and genuine opportunities for permanent employment.
Role Overview
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing either UK-wide deliveries on day shifts or depot-to-depot trunking on night shifts. Working with XPO Logistics, you'll benefit from a well-organised operation, supportive transport team and access to ongoing development opportunities.
Shift Patterns
Day Shift
- £16.59 per hour
- Start times between 04:00 and 06:00
- UK-wide deliveries
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing work
Night Shift
- £17.70 per hour
- Start times between 16:00 and 18:00
- Depot-to-depot trunking
- Monday to Friday
- Ongoing work
Pay and Benefits

Responsibilities
- Complete UK-wide deliveries or trunking routes safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Ensure compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Complete all transport documentation accurately
- Deliver a professional service at all times
- Follow company health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Good understanding of driver regulations
