Kitchen Porter (Term Time Only)
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy school catering team. You will support the kitchen's daily operations by assisting with food preparation, cleaning kitchen equipment and dining areas, washing dishes, handling deliveries, and maintaining high standards of hygiene, food safety, and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic food preparation, including preparing vegetables
- Wash dishes, kitchen equipment, and utensils
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
- Receive and store deliveries
- Dispose of waste safely and efficiently
- Support the catering team with general kitchen duties
- Follow food hygiene, safeguarding, and health & safety procedures at all time
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 2:00pm (27.5 hours per week)
Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only (36 weeks per year)
