IT Network Field Support Engineer
Scotland | 6-Month Temporary Contract
We are recruiting for an IT Network Field Support Engineer to support a major SD-WAN rollout project across multiple sites throughout Scotland. Working alongside an established Network Infrastructure team, you'll play a key role in delivering network upgrades, supporting installations, and maintaining critical IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the rollout of SD-WAN technology across the estate.
- Coordinate site surveys and installation activities with suppliers and telecoms providers.
- Install and configure network hardware.
- Carry out IT infrastructure surveys and documentation.
- Maintain communications cabinets and troubleshoot network-related issues.
- Support ongoing IT projects and business-as-usual network activities.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting IT infrastructure or networking environments.
- Knowledge of IP networking principles.
- Experience with fibre and copper cabling.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Full UK driving licence.
- SD-WAN experience.
- CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation or similar certifications.
- Experience within rail, utilities, or other operational environments.
