Location: Tutbury, Staffordshire
Pay Rate: £14.00 - £18.00 per hour (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

The Opportunity

Our client specialises in providing high-quality metal fabrication services and is looking to recruit an experienced Fabrication Welder to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder who enjoys working with a variety of metal components and manufacturing bespoke products to a high standard. The successful candidate will join a busy and professional workshop with genuine long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating and welding a variety of metal components and assemblies.
- Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Carrying out MIG welding to a consistently high standard.
- Measuring, cutting, grinding, and preparing materials for fabrication.
- Assembling finished products using hand and power tools.
- Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintaining welding equipment and keeping work areas safe and organised.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the wider fabrication and production team as required.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as a Fabrication Welder, Welder Fabricator, or similar engineering role.
- Strong MIG welding experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working with metal components within a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Competent using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
- Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are required.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- TIG welding experience.
- City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent welding/fabrication qualifications.
- Experience within bespoke fabrication, structural steel, or general engineering environments.
Important
- Due to the location of the site in Tutbury, candidates must have their own transport as public transport links may not be suitable for all commuting requirements.
- Candidates will be required to provide evidence of relevant welding qualifications or certifications during the recruitment process.
