We are seeking a Trainee Estimator to join a busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a keen eye for detail to develop a career within estimating.
Full training will be provided, making this role ideal for someone looking to take their first step into estimating, construction, manufacturing, or a project-based environment.
The Role
As a Trainee Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate quotations for customer enquiries and projects. You will learn how to interpret drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to produce detailed quotations while working closely with internal departments and customers.
This is a fast-paced role that requires excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce quotations from architectural drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
- Prepare new, revised, and copy quotations accurately and efficiently
- Manage multiple quotations of varying size and value
- Liaise with customers to clarify project requirements
- Work closely with internal departments including Sales, CAD, Customer Service, and Communications
- Support the sales team by following up quotations and providing an efficient chaser service
- Ensure customer deadlines are met and quotations are delivered on time
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
- Assist with additional departmental duties as required
