Are you an ambitious hospitality professional looking to take the next step into senior management? We are seeking a Designate General Manager to join a successful collection of food-led pubs, with an initial placement in the beautiful New Forest village of Lyndhurst.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Operations Manager, or emerging General Manager who is ready to develop their leadership skills and progress into a full General Manager role within a growing business.

The Role

As Designate General Manager, you'll work closely with senior leadership teams, gaining exposure to all aspects of business operations while supporting the successful running of the venue.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the day-to-day management of the pub
• Leading, coaching, and developing front and back-of-house teams
• Driving guest satisfaction and delivering exceptional service standards
• Supporting the achievement of sales, labour, and profit targets
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, licensing, and health & safety legislation
• Building strong relationships with customers and the local community
• Assisting with recruitment, training, and team development
• Preparing for future progression into a General Manager position

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a senior hospitality management role
• Experience within pubs, restaurants, hotels, or food-led hospitality businesses
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercial awareness and understanding of business performance
• Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
• Ambition to progress into a General Manager role
