The Role
As Commis Chef, you'll support the senior kitchen team in delivering fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals for students, staff and visitors. You'll gain valuable experience across all areas of the kitchen while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation and service
- Preparing fresh ingredients and basic dishes
- Supporting chefs during busy service periods
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Ensuring kitchen areas remain clean, organised and compliant
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage procedures
- Working collaboratively as part of a professional catering team
About You
- Passionate about food and hospitality
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices is beneficial
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment
