Our client is seeking a passionate and reliable Commis Chef to join their busy catering team within a dynamic school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working as part of a team and thrives in a fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, helping to deliver high-quality food and excellent service to students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and cooking of fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Supporting the service of both hot and cold meals
- Catering for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas
- Ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work
- A genuine interest in food preparation and catering
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
MUST HAVEs:
- previous catering/cooking experience in a similar environment
- be aware of allergens & dietary requirements
- be flexible with duties & tasks
