Key Responsibilities
As a Cleaning Team Lead, your duties will include:
- Leading and supporting a team of cleaning operatives to deliver high cleaning standards throughout the store
- Allocating tasks and monitoring team performance throughout each shift
- Cleaning retail, customer and colleague areas to a high standard
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces
- Cleaning washroom and welfare facilities
- Emptying and relining waste bins
- Carrying out floor care tasks, including buffing and polishing where required
- Conducting routine quality checks and inspections
- Reporting maintenance, health & safety or cleaning issues to management
- Assisting with the training and onboarding of new team members
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Acting as the main point of contact for the team during shifts
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning experience is essential
- Previous supervisory, team leader or senior cleaner experience is desirable
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good understanding of spoken and written English
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Ability to motivate and support a team
- Positive attitude with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
