HGV Class 2 Driver
We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a permanent customer-facing delivery role based in Burton upon Trent. This role involves delivering ladders and access equipment to customers throughout the UK, offering regular work, competitive pay and long-term stability. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to health and safety, excellent communication skills and experience providing outstanding customer service while representing a business professionally.
Role Overview
As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of ladders and access equipment to commercial and residential customers nationwide. This is a physically active role requiring a professional approach, attention to detail and a strong focus on health and safety.
Due to insurance requirements, applicants must have held their HGV Class 2 licence and accumulated a minimum of two years' HGV driving experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver ladders and access equipment safely throughout the UK
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections
- Ensure loads are secured correctly and transported safely
- Load and unload products in accordance with manual handling procedures
- Complete delivery documentation accurately
- Maintain excellent customer service standards at all times
- Adhere to Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites
- Report vehicle defects, incidents and safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Minimum of 2 years' HGV driving experience (insurance requirement)
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Strong understanding of vehicle and road safety legislation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively
