Blue Arrow is currently recruiting Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a leading bakery distribution operation based in Southampton. This role involves delivering fresh bakery products to retail outlets, wholesale customers and convenience stores across the South of England.

Pay Rate: £18.85 per hour PAYE + Holiday Accrual

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (13-Week Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)

Shift Pattern
- Early start times between 01:00 and 03:30
- 25-week rolling rota
- Weekend working required as part of the rota
- Planned schedules provided in advance
- Ongoing, regular work available
The Role
As a Class 2 Driver, you will:
- Operate a rigid vehicle fitted with a tail lift
- Deliver bakery products to retail stores, wholesalers and convenience outlets across the South of England
- Provide a high standard of customer service at delivery locations
- Safely operate tail-lift equipment and undertake manual handling duties
- Ensure all goods are loaded, secured and transported safely
- Use load restraint equipment including straps and load bars where required
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks using a company-issued mobile device
- Maintain communication with the transport team throughout the day
- Adhere to all driving legislation, company policies and health and safety procedures
- Participate in regular training sessions and compliance updates
Requirements
Applicants must hold:
- A valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
