Class 1 HGV Driver Jobs | Royal Mail Peak Season 2026

Blue Arrow is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support Royal Mail's busy Peak Season operation across the Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with one of the UK's most established parcel and mail distribution networks. Drivers will be responsible for primarily trunking duties, transporting trailers between Royal Mail distribution centres, sorting hubs and regional depots.

Class 1 Driver Duties

As a Royal Mail HGV Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing trunk runs between Royal Mail hubs and distribution sites
• Depot-to-depot collections and deliveries
• Operating curtain-sided and box trailers
• Minimal handball involved
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and defect reporting
• Accurately completing transport documentation
• Working safely and professionally at all times
• Adhering to Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Acting as a professional representative of both Blue Arrow and Royal Mail

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for these Royal Mail Class 1 Driver vacancies, applicants must:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence for at least 12 months
• Have a minimum of 180 days HGV driving experience within the last 2 years
• Possess a valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Be able to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week
• Have no unspent criminal convictions
• Have no more than 6 penalty points, subject to Royal Mail approval criteria
• Complete a Returning Worker Check if previously assessed or employed by Royal Mail
• Have matching names across right-to-work documentation and driving licence records

Driver Assessments

Driver assessments are anticipated to begin from mid-October onwards.
