Are you a passionate and reliable Chef looking for a better work-life balance? We are currently recruiting experienced Agency Chefs to work across schools, academies, colleges, and other education settings.
Location: Various sites
Hours: Monday to Friday, daytime shifts
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates
Start Date: Immediate starts available
The Role
As an Agency Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for students and staff while maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking fresh meals to agreed menus and dietary requirements
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Managing stock and assisting with kitchen organisation
- Supporting catering teams during busy service periods
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef within schools, care, hospitality, or contract catering
- Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 minimum preferred)
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation is advantageous
