Chef - Temporary & Flexible Work Available
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
We're currently recruiting experienced chefs for temporary assignments across Stoke-on-Trent.
Whether you're looking to pick up extra shifts alongside your current role, fill gaps between contracts, or secure ongoing temporary work, we have a range of opportunities available. Assignments can vary from occasional cover shifts to longer-term placements, with some potentially leading to permanent employment.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working as a chef
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (issued within the last 3 years)
- Own chef whites and knives
- Ability to work independently and manage your own section
- Reliable and organised approach to work
- Good communication and time management skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team and supporting with general kitchen duties where required
- Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy service periods
Main duties:
- Preparing and cooking food to a high standard
- Managing stock and putting deliveries away correctly
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Washing up and assisting with kitchen cleanliness
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
- Working closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
