Blue Arrow is currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a busy catering operation in the Dundee area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in volume catering who is looking for stable, ongoing work with competitive rates of pay.
What's on Offer?
✅ Ongoing assignment
✅ 36 hours per week
✅ Shifts between 6:00am-2:00pm and 10:00am-6:00pm
✅ Alternate weekends required
✅ Immediate start available
Pay Rates:
- Monday to Friday: £14.55 per hour
- Saturday: £19.93 per hour
- Sunday: £25.26 per hour
The Role
Working within a fast-paced catering environment, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals while maintaining excellent food quality, hygiene and safety standards.
Duties will include:
- Food preparation and cooking
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
- Following recipes and production schedules
- Monitoring food quality and presentation
- Stock control and safe storage of ingredients
- Working collaboratively within a busy kitchen team
About You
We're looking for candidates who have:
- At least 3 years' chef experience
- Strong knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
- Understanding of HACCP and COSHH regulations
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Relevant catering qualifications such as SVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 7061/7062 or equivalent (preferred)
