Things are really starting to really pick up here at Blue Arrow Stoke on Trent, we are having new bookings & enquires coming in daily from clients who are needing support with an immediate start date.
We are looking for temporary agency relief chefs of all levels to help support local businesses. The clients you will be supporting will be needing help with their temporary cover ranging from holidays, sickness or general business and recruitment support, majority of our roles could easily lead to permeant work for you or be as flexible as you want it be, which is one of the many benefits we can offer.
We do supply to all environments ranging from restaurants, golf clubs, hotels, contract catering, Care homes, Schools, Nurseries and many more. This is a great opportunity to build extra hours, build your current network and profile, and have exposure to different environments along with working on a flexible basis.

Working times and shifts
As you can imagine being a chef does mean you are expected to work days, evenings, weekends and nights. However the benefit for joining us at blue arrow means you can choose which days you want to work, and we can offer a mixture of shifts to suit all needs.
The Commute:
As we cover many locations across Derbyshire and Staffordshire, your commute will vary. If you have a car and are flexible with locations, great, if you're limited to public transport, we'll only send you to places that have public transport links and provide you with all the information you will need to get there. The working environment
Due to the various different types of environments, we cover your working environment will change from site to site, and even day to day, but we will look to place you in the most comfortable environments for you.
We currently are or have supplied to the below environments.
- Contract catering sites including industrial catering
- Schools, Nurseries, Universities, hospitals, Care homes and prisons - to work in these environments it would require an Enhanced DBS check - which we do have the facilities to put you through at a cost
- Garden Centres and farm shops
- Hotels, pubs, restaurants, golf clubs and events
I am sure we have something to fit your experience and needs.
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience as a chef or cook, ideally at Chef de Partie level or above, although all relevant experience will be considered
- Flexibility with shift patterns, including days, evenings and weekends where available
- Ability to support ad hoc and same-day booking requests, which can often lead to regular ongoing work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is ideal, although support may be available if you need to complete this
- Food allergens certificates
- For any care home chefs - we require IDDSI training to be complete which we can provide
- For any Education chefs - we require any safeguarding certificates, along with any other educational certificates you may have IE Benedicts law. We do have facilities to send these courses to you too.
- A genuine passion for food, service and high standards
- Confidence working in busy kitchens and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is beneficial for some locations
- Own chef whites and knives
- An in-date Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service, is required for schools, nurseries, care homes, prisons and other regulated environments. If you do not currently have one, we can advise on the process.
