We're looking for experienced and reliable Chefs and Cooks to support care homes across Newcastle with weekend shifts.
Whether you're looking to top up your income, fit work around another job, or simply prefer weekend hours, we can offer flexible shifts in friendly and supportive care environments.

We'll cover the cost of your Enhanced Adult DBS to help get you ready for work.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Weekend Care Home Chef, you will:
- Prepare and serve nutritious, home-style meals
- Cater for dietary requirements, allergies and specialised diets
- Maintain excellent standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard
- Work alongside care home teams to provide residents with an enjoyable dining experience
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- At least 1 year of chef or cook experience
- Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certification
- Enhanced Adult DBS or willingness to apply
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and manual handling
- Confidence catering for dietary requirements
- A caring, patient and reliable attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery
- City & Guilds 706/1 or 706/2
- Level 3 Food Safety
- BTEC, HND or equivalent culinary qualification
